Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya, have been crowned champions of the 2026 All-Island Under-13 Basketball Championship – Division A, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association.
The HFC Under-13 girls produced an unbeaten run throughout the tournament, winning every match on their way to the title. The tournament was held from August 25 to September 8, 2026.
In the grand final held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo, HFC defeated Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, 28–18 to lift the championship trophy.

The school’s leadership and basketball administration were headed by Rev. Mother Charitha Thandalega, Principal, and Mrs. Uthpali Premachandra, Teacher-in-Charge of Basketball.
The team was coached by Shane Daniel, Randima Sooriyaarachchi and Chamath Gimhana.

The tournament’s standout players included Ivana Morris, Amy Premadasa, Ayana Hitihami and Ranuli Livansa.
With a perfect unbeaten record and a convincing final victory, Holy Family Convent have firmly established themselves as the 2026 All-Island Under-13 Division A champions.
