The Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a commanding 47-run victory over the Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring encounter.
Batting first, SRH piled up a massive 242/2 in their 20 overs, thanks to a sensational unbeaten century from Abhishek Sharma. He smashed 135 off 68 balls, featuring 10 fours and 10 sixes — his second IPL century.
He was well supported by Travis Head (37), Ishan Kishan (25), and Heinrich Klaasen, who remained unbeaten on 37. The only wicket for Delhi was taken by Axar Patel.
In reply, Delhi Capitals managed 195/9 despite some resistance. Nitish Rana top-scored with 57, while Sameer Rizvi made 41 and KL Rahul added 37.
On debut, Dilshan Madushanka picked up his first IPL wicket by dismissing Pathum Nissanka. However, it was Eshan Malinga who stole the show with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 32 runs. Harsh Dubey also impressed with 3/12.
With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad move up to third place on the points table, while Delhi Capitals sit in fifth.
