Bangladesh completed a clean sweep over Afghanistan, winning the third and final T20I by six wickets in Sharjah yesterday to claim the series 3–0.
Batting first, Afghanistan managed just 143 for 9 in their 20 overs. Darwish Rasooli top-scored with 32, while Seddiqullah Atal contributed 28.
Bangladesh’s bowlers were impressive once again, with Mohammad Saifuddin taking 3 wickets, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Nasum Ahmed chipping in with 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bangladesh comfortably chased down the target of 144 in just 18 overs, losing only four wickets. Saif Hassan led the charge with an unbeaten 64 off 38 balls, smashing seven sixes, while Tanzid Hasan added a useful 33.
For Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets.
Saif Hassan was named Player of the Match, while Nasum Ahmed earned the Player of the Series award for his consistent performances.
The two sides will now face off in a three-match ODI series, starting October 8 in Abu Dhabi.
