The 35th Youth Sports Fest 2025 began with the Jaffna District Sports Meet, held recently at the Alfred Duraiappah Stadium in Jaffna.
Young athletes representing 15 Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Jaffna District took part in the event, which concluded with a series of thrilling team competitions.
At the closing ceremony, the Tellippalai Divisional Secretariat emerged as overall champions, while Puttur secured the runners-up position and Nallur finished third.
Following the completion of all district-level meets, the National Youth Sports Festival is scheduled to take place in December.
The event was graced by Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Ramalingam Chandraseker, Director General of the National Youth Services Council, Attorney-at-Law Supun Wijerathna, Board Member Chathura Peiris, and several other officials.
