New Zealand Women’s cricket team cruised to a commanding 100-run victory over Bangladesh in their ICC Women’s World Cup match held yesterday.

After winning the toss, New Zealand elected to bat first and posted a total of 227 runs for 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Brooke Halliday top-scored with a solid 69, while captain Sophie Devine added a valuable 63 to set up a competitive total.

Bangladesh’s Rabea Khan was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs in an impressive spell.

In reply, Bangladesh’s batting lineup struggled against New Zealand’s disciplined bowling attack. They were bowled out for just 127 runs in 39.5 overs. Fatima Khatun (34) and Rabea Khan (25) were the only players to offer resistance.

For New Zealand, Jess Kerr and Lea Tahuhu both delivered superb spells, claiming 3 wickets each, sealing a comprehensive win for the White Ferns.

Brooke Halliday was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance with the bat.

🏆 Final Result:
New Zealand Women won by 100 runs

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Women are set to face England today at 3:00 PM at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo in another exciting Women’s World Cup fixture.
