England secured a commanding innings and 45-run victory over Zimbabwe in the Test match held in Nottingham.
After winning the toss, Zimbabwe opted to bowl first. England made full use of the opportunity, declaring their first innings at 565 for 6. Ollie Pope led the charge with a brilliant 171, Ben Duckett scored 140, and Zak Crawley added 124. For Zimbabwe, Blessing Muzarabani was the best among the bowlers, taking 3 wickets.
In response, Zimbabwe managed 265 runs in their first innings, with Brian Bennett top-scoring with a valiant 139. Shoaib Bashir took 3 wickets for England.
Following on, Zimbabwe’s second innings ended at 255 runs. Sean Williams contributed 88 and Sikandar Raza made 60. Shoaib Bashir once again starred with the ball, claiming 6 wickets.
