Colombo Kaps continued their impressive Lanka Premier League campaign with a 21-run victory over Dambulla Sixers in the 12th match of the tournament, thanks to a match-winning knock from Kamindu Mendis.
The match was played at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Colombo Kaps posted a competitive 197/5 from their 20 overs.
Kamindu Mendis starred with a sensational unbeaten 88 off 39 deliveries, smashing nine fours and four sixes to anchor the innings.
In reply, Dambulla Sixers finished on 176/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
Pawan Ratnayake top-scored with 50, while Marcus Stoinis contributed 40 in the chase, but the target proved beyond reach.
With the ball, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Shahnawaz Dahani claimed two wickets each to help Colombo Kaps secure a convincing 21-run victory.
