Rajasthan Royals produced a sensational run chase to defeat Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets in the 64th match of the 2026 Indian Premier League yesterday.

Batting first, LSG posted a massive 220/5 on the board. Mitchell Marsh narrowly missed out on a century after smashing 96 off 57 balls, while Josh Inglis added a fluent 60. The pair also shared a brilliant 109-run opening partnership.

For Rajasthan, Yash Raj Punja picked up two wickets, while Jofra Archer claimed one.

In reply, RR chased down the huge target in just 19.1 overs to seal a memorable victory.

Young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi stole the show with a breathtaking 93 off 38 balls. Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 53, while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 43.

With this crucial win, Rajasthan Royals have moved back into the top four and remain in contention for a playoff spot, with one final league match left against Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants have now won only 4 of their 13 matches this season and have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

Today’s IPL clash will see Kolkata Knight Riders take on Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens.
