Shaheen Shah Afridi has been officially appointed as the new captain of Pakistan’s One Day International (ODI) team, replacing Mohammad Rizwan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made the announcement through an official statement but did not specify a reason for Rizwan’s removal from captaincy.
According to reports, the decision was taken following a meeting between the selection committee and the ODI team’s coaching staff.
With this leadership change, Pakistan will look to bring a fresh, aggressive approach under Shaheen’s command — a bowler known for his pace, passion, and match-winning spirit.
