South Africa sealed their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 T20 World Cup with a dominant nine-wicket victory over West Indies.

Batting first, the Windies posted 176 for 8. At one stage, they were reeling at 83 for 7 before Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd staged a stunning recovery. The duo stitched together a record 89-run stand for the eighth wicket, with Shepherd smashing 52 and Holder contributing 49.

For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi led the attack with three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada and Corbin Bosch picked up two apiece.

In response, the Proteas made light work of the chase, racing to victory in just 16.1 overs with only one wicket down.

Aiden Markram starred with an unbeaten 82, Quinton de Kock added 47, and Ryan Rickelton finished unbeaten on 45 to complete a commanding win.

With this emphatic performance, South Africa confirmed their spot in the last four. Aiden Markram was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.
