Sri Lanka Women completed a dominant 3-0 whitewash over Bangladesh in their three-match T20I series, clinching a narrow 3-run victory in the third and final game played yesterday.
The match, held in Sylhet, was reduced to 9 overs per side due to rain interruptions.
Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 87 for 6 at the end of their allotted overs. Captain Chamari Atapattu led from the front with a quickfire 41 off 27 balls. Sultana Khatun impressed with the ball, picking up 3 wickets.
In reply, Bangladesh Women managed only 84 for 6 in their 9 overs. Sobhana Mostary was the top scorer with 21 runs.
Sri Lanka’s bowling attack was led by Sugandika Kumari and Chamari Atapattu, who claimed 2 wickets each.
Chamari Atapattu was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for her outstanding all-round performance.
