Sri Lanka and Bangladesh completed the third day of the second Test match today. At stumps, Bangladesh were struggling at 115 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their second innings.
Sri Lanka had earlier scored 458 runs in their first innings, securing a lead of 211 runs over Bangladesh’s first-innings total.
Today, Pathum Nissanka was dismissed after scoring 158 runs, while Kusal Mendis contributed 84 runs.
For Bangladesh, Taijul Islam claimed 5 wickets, and Nayeem Hasan took 3 wickets with the ball.
During Bangladesh’s second innings, Sri Lanka’s bowlers dominated once again, reducing the visitors to 6 wickets down by the end of the day. Only Liton Das remained unbeaten at the crease.
