Day Three of the second Test between Sri Lanka and the West Indies gets underway today, with Sri Lanka firmly in control after a dominant batting display.
The match is being played in Antigua, where Sri Lanka resumed Day Two on 338/5, with Kusal Mendis and Sonal Dinusha unbeaten overnight.
Kusal Mendis brought up the 23rd half-century of his Test career, scoring 69 runs, while Sonal Dinusha produced an impressive innings of 92, registering the first Test fifty of his career before falling just short of a maiden century.
Sri Lanka eventually declared their first innings on 549/9, putting the hosts under significant pressure.
For the West Indies, Jayden Seales and Shamar Joseph claimed two wickets each.
In reply, the West Indies reached 58/1 by stumps on Day Two, trailing Sri Lanka by 491 runs heading into the third day of the Test.
