Sri Lanka’s Nadeesha Dilhanie Lekamge secured a silver medal in the women’s javelin throw at the Asian Throwing Championships held in South Korea.
She delivered an impressive performance with a throw of 56.79 meters, marking her season-best effort.
Her achievement earned her the silver medal, while the gold medal was claimed by a Japanese athlete. Another Japanese competitor secured the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Sumedha Ranasinghe, who competed in the men’s javelin event, has qualified for the final.
