Sri Lanka Women maintained their impressive form ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup, securing their second consecutive warm-up victory with a seven-wicket win over the Netherlands Women.
The match was played in Derby, England, where the Netherlands opted to bat first and posted 143/6 in their 20 overs.
Heather Siegers top-scored with 48 runs, while Sterre Kalis added 45 to give the Dutch side a competitive total.
For Sri Lanka, Malki Madara, Sugandika Kumari, and Kavisha Dilhari claimed a wicket each as the bowlers kept the opposition in check.
In reply, Sri Lanka comfortably chased down the target, reaching 146/3 in 19.1 overs to seal another confidence-boosting win.
Hansima Karunaratne starred with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 54 off 41 balls, anchoring the chase brilliantly.
She received excellent support from Harshitha Samarawickrama, who finished unbeaten on 36, while Hashini Perera contributed a valuable 31 runs.
The victory extends Sri Lanka’s unbeaten run in the warm-up matches and provides further momentum as the team prepares for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup campaign.
