Australia triumphed over England by six wickets in yesterday’s Women’s One-Day World Cup match held in Indore, India.

Batting first, England posted 244 runs for 9 wickets, led by Tammy Beaumont’s patient 78 runs, while Alice Capsey contributed 38.

For Australia, Annabel Sutherland impressed with the ball, taking 3 wickets.

Despite losing their first four wickets for just 68 runs, Australia bounced back with a brilliant 180-run unbeaten partnership between Annabel Sutherland and Ashleigh Gardner, sealing the victory with 57 balls to spare.

Gardner remained unbeaten on 104, while Sutherland scored an unbeaten 98.
Linsey Smith claimed 2 wickets for England.

Annabel Sutherland, who shone with both bat and ball, was named the Player of the Match.

With this win, Australia move to the top of the points table, continuing their dominant run in the tournament.

The next crucial clash between India and New Zealand is scheduled for today.
