Sri Lanka added two more bronze medals to its tally at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, currently taking place in Bahrain.
In the boys’ javelin throw event, Chathura Dulanjana secured a bronze medal with an impressive throw of 62.51 meters. Dulanjana is a student of Weera Parakrama National School, Yatawatta – Matale.
Meanwhile, Shanuka Costa claimed another bronze medal for Sri Lanka in the boys’ 400m event, finishing the race with a personal best time of 47.72 seconds. Costa represents Gateway International School, Rajagiriya.
With these victories, Sri Lanka’s medal tally at the Asian Youth Games now stands at four—one gold and three bronze medals.
