Sri Lankan racing prodigy Yevan David delivered an impressive performance in the second race of the Euroformula Open Championship’s Italian round, finishing in second place to strengthen his position in the overall drivers’ standings.
The Euroformula Open Championship consists of eight rounds, with the Italian leg serving as the eighth and final stage of the season. After finishing sixth in the first race, Yevan bounced back in style during the second, showcasing remarkable pace and control to claim P2 behind Poland’s Tymek Kurcharczyk, who took the victory. American driver Everett Stack secured third place.
Heading into the final race of the Italian round, Kurcharczyk leads the championship with 359 points, while Yevan David sits firmly in second place on 321 points, keeping his title hopes alive and flying the Sri Lankan flag high on the European circuit.
