Zimbabwe has secured qualification for the Rugby World Cup for the first time since 1991.
The team will now compete in next year’s Rugby World Cup tournament, which is set to be held in Australia.
Zimbabwe earned their spot by becoming champions of the 20th Africa Rugby Championship, held in Uganda. In the final, they edged out Namibia in a thrilling contest, winning 30–28.
This marks Zimbabwe’s third appearance at a Rugby World Cup, having previously competed in the 1987 and 1991 editions.
