Sri Lanka claimed silver medals in two team events at the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship, held in Kathmandu, Nepal. A team of 16 young athletes represented Sri Lanka at the tournament, competing against strong contingents from India, Pakistan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and host nation Nepal.
The silver medals were secured in the Under-15 Girls’ and Under-18 Boys’ team categories. In addition to these team accolades, Sri Lanka’s players also earned 8 bronze medals across individual events, marking an impressive showing at the regional competition.
