Vibhav Suryawanshi, just 14 years old, has etched his name in the history books by becoming the youngest player ever to score a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His remarkable feat came during yesterday’s match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans.
Adding to the historic moment, Vibhav also recorded the second-fastest century in IPL history, making the occasion even more special. The match took place in Jaipur.
Batting first, the Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total of 209 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Shubman Gill contributed a solid 84 runs, while Jos Buttler remained unbeaten with 50 runs.
In response, Rajasthan Royals chased down the target in just 15.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets and reaching 212 runs—securing a dominant victory.
Vibhav Suryawanshi delivered an electrifying performance, smashing 101 runs off just 38 balls, which included 7 fours and a staggering 11 sixes. He reached his century in just 35 balls, making it the second-fastest century in IPL history.
The record for the fastest century in IPL still belongs to Chris Gayle, who scored a hundred off just 30 balls in 2013.
