Sri Lanka clinched third place in the Central Asian Under-19 Girls’ Volleyball Championship, defeating the Maldives in straight sets.
The tournament concluded yesterday at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.
In the third-place playoff, Sri Lanka dominated from start to finish, winning all three sets—26–6, 25–11, and 25–10 — to seal a convincing 3–0 victory over the Maldives.
With this win, the young Sri Lankan team showcased their growing strength in regional volleyball, finishing the tournament on a high note.
