Sri Lanka A claimed a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Hong Kong in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup T20 match played today in Doha, Qatar.
Batting first, Hong Kong posted 117 for 9 in their 20 overs. Shiv Mathul top-scored with 26 runs, but regular breakthroughs kept them under pressure throughout the innings.
Sri Lanka A’s bowling attack delivered a disciplined performance, led by Trevin Mathew who picked up 3 wickets. Dunith Wellalage and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth supported well, claiming two wickets each.
In reply, Sri Lanka A raced to the target in just 13.5 overs, scoring 120 for 3. Nuwanidu Fernando remained unbeaten with an excellent 47, while Nishan Madushka contributed 35 runs to set up a smooth chase.
With this convincing win, Sri Lanka A continue their strong run in the Emerging Asia Cup.
