Sri Lanka Under-19 defeated South Africa Under-19 by 12 runs under the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern (DLS) method in a warm-up match ahead of the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The match was played in Windhoek, Namibia, where Sri Lanka batted first and were bowled out for 225 runs. Viran Chamuditha led the batting effort with an impressive 87 runs, anchoring the Sri Lankan innings.
Due to rain interruptions, South Africa were set a revised target of 176 runs under the DLS method.
Chasing the adjusted target, the South Africa Under-19 team was bowled out for 163 runs in 33.3 overs, falling short of the target.
As a result, the Sri Lanka Under-19 side secured a confidence-boosting victory, continuing their strong preparations for the upcoming World Cup.
