The opening match of the Pakistan Super League 2026 saw the Lahore Qalandars secure an impressive 69-run victory over the Hyderabad Kingsmen.
The match was played at the famous Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
After winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars chose to bat first and posted a strong total of 199 for 6 in their 20 overs.
Opening batter Fakhar Zaman led the scoring with 53 runs, while Haseebullah Khan contributed 40 runs.
For Hyderabad, Riley Meredith and Hasan Khan picked up two wickets each.
Chasing a target of 200 runs, the Hyderabad side were bowled out for 130 within their 20 overs. Captain Marnus Labuschagne scored 26 runs.
With the ball, Lahore Qalandars’ attack was led by Ubaid Shah, Sikandar Raza and Haris Rauf, who claimed two wickets each, sealing a comfortable win for their team.
