The Sri Lanka A Team ended Day 2 of their four-day Test match against the New Zealand A with a solid 182-run lead at Hambantota International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Sri Lanka A posted an impressive 381. Sonal Dinusha led the way with a 108, while Lahiru Udara added 61 and Ramesh Mendis chipped in with 48.
For New Zealand A, Tim Pringle picked up 3 wickets, while Ryan Harrison and Peter Younghusband claimed two each.
In response, New Zealand A reached 199/1 at stumps on Day 2. Tim Robinson remained unbeaten on a brilliant 101, while Curtis Heaphy supported well with 75*.
The only wicket to fall was taken by Dilum Sudheera.
With 9 wickets in hand, New Zealand A still trail by 182 runs heading into Day 3, setting up an intriguing battle ahead.
