Delhi Capitals produced a sensational run chase to secure a thrilling 3-wicket victory over Punjab Kings in yesterday’s IPL clash, successfully hunting down a challenging 210-run target.

Batting first, Punjab Kings posted an imposing 210/5 in their 20 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with an unbeaten 59 off 36 balls, while opener Priyansh Arya smashed a quickfire 56 from 33 deliveries.

For Delhi Capitals, Mitchell Starc and Madhav Tiwari claimed two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar chipped in with one scalp.

In reply, Delhi Capitals suffered an early collapse, losing three wickets for just 33 runs. However, captain Axar Patel turned the game around with a blazing 56 off 30 balls, while David Miller added a crucial 51 from 28 deliveries.

Later, explosive cameos from Ashutosh Sharma, Madhav Tiwari, and Aqib Nabi guided Delhi to victory with one over to spare. Delhi Capitals eventually finished on 216/7 to complete a memorable chase.

For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh and Yash Thakur picked up two wickets apiece.

With this victory, Delhi Capitals climbed to 7th place in the points table, while Punjab Kings slipped to 4th position.

The 56th match of the tournament between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad is scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad.
