The stage is set for the grand finale of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Gujarat Titans tonight at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, will face a GT side captained by Shubman Gill in what promises to be a thrilling showdown for the IPL 2026 crown.

A total of 70 league-stage matches and three playoff games have been completed so far, bringing the tournament to its highly anticipated climax.

One of the standout records of the season came from Punjab Kings, who registered the highest team total of the tournament by chasing down 264 and finishing on 265/4 against Delhi Capitals.

The Orange Cap race continues to be led by 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has amassed 776 runs in 16 matches. The teenage star has also smashed 72 sixes this season, setting a new IPL record for the most sixes in a single edition and surpassing the previous mark held by Chris Gayle.

The highest individual score of the tournament belongs to KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals, who blasted an unbeaten 152 against Punjab Kings.

In the bowling department, Kagiso Rabada of GT leads the Purple Cap standings with 28 wickets, while RCB pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar follows closely with 26 scalps.

The tournament’s highest partnership remains the 220-run stand for the second wicket between KL Rahul and Nitish Rana for Delhi Capitals.

Heading into the final, RCB have won 10 of their 15 matches, while Gujarat Titans have also recorded 10 victories from 16 games. With both teams in outstanding form, fans can expect a fiercely contested battle under the lights.

Ahead of the 19th edition final, both RCB and GT have won the IPL title once each.

  • RCB won their maiden title in the 18th edition (2025).
  • GT won their maiden title in the 15th edition (2022).

The IPL 2026 Final is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM local time.
