Morocco and France secured their places in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals after impressive victories in the Round of 16.
Morocco produced a dominant second-half performance to defeat Canada 3-0 in Houston, USA.
The opening half ended goalless, with both sides unable to break the deadlock. However, Morocco came out firing after the restart, scoring three unanswered goals to seal a convincing victory and advance to the last eight.
In the day’s other Round of 16 fixture, France edged Paraguay 1-0 to book their place in the quarter-finals.
After a scoreless first half, Kylian Mbappé broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, calmly converting a penalty to give France the lead.
Paraguay were unable to find an equaliser, as France held on for a narrow victory to secure their spot in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
