Galle Gallants continued their impressive start to the Lanka Premier League, registering their second consecutive victory with a five-wicket win over Colombo Kaps at the SSC Ground in Colombo.
Batting first, Colombo Kaps posted a competitive 189/8 from their 20 overs.
Kusal Mendis led the scoring with a fluent 79, while Ben McDermott provided solid support with 57.
The standout performer with the ball for Galle was Aqif Javed, who produced an outstanding spell to claim 4 wickets.
In reply, Galle Gallants chased down the target in 19.2 overs, finishing on 191/5 to seal a comfortable five-wicket victory.
Sam Harper anchored the chase with an excellent 65, while Sahan Arachchige remained unbeaten on 38 to guide Galle across the finish line.
The victory gives Galle Gallants back-to-back wins to strengthen their position in the early stages of the Lanka Premier League.
