Former Sri Lanka captain and veteran cricketer Hashan Tillakaratne has been appointed to a coaching role with Sri Lanka Cricket.
According to an announcement issued by Sri Lanka Cricket today, the appointment will remain in effect until December 31, 2027.
Tillakaratne will contribute to the Senior Player Development Programmes at the Sri Lanka Cricket High Performance Centre, working with and developing senior players.
The former international cricketer has previously served as Sri Lanka’s batting coach and also worked as the head coach of the Sri Lanka and Bangladesh women’s cricket teams.
His return to the Sri Lanka Cricket coaching setup adds valuable international experience to the country’s high-performance programme.
