An 18-member squad has been named for the first Test match against Bangladesh.
Five players without prior Test caps have also been included in the Sri Lankan squad.
This match will also mark the final Test appearance of veteran cricketer Angelo Mathews in his international career.
The first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is scheduled to begin next Tuesday at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Dhananjaya de Silva has been named captain of the squad. Pathum Nissanka, Oshada Fernando, Lahiru Udara, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, Pasindu Suriyabandara, Sonal Dinusha, and Pawan Rathnayake have been included as batters.
Prabath Jayasuriya, Tharindu Ratnayake, and Akila Dananjaya are the spin bowlers selected.
Milan Rathnayake, Asitha Fernando, Kasun Rajitha, and Isitha Wijesundara have been named as fast bowlers.
Pawan Rathnayake, Tharindu Ratnayake, Lahiru Udara, Pasindu Suriyabandara, and Isitha Wijesundara are all uncapped players in the Test format.
Meanwhile, it is notable that Akila Dananjaya has earned a place in the Sri Lankan Test squad again after six years.
