Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially announced the appointment of two new coaches to strengthen the national team’s backroom staff.
According to SLC, Julian Wood has been named the new batting coach, taking charge from October 1st for a one-year term. Wood, known for his innovative power-hitting techniques, is expected to bring a fresh approach to Sri Lanka’s batting lineup.
Meanwhile, Rene Ferdinands has been appointed as the bowling coach on a two-year contract effective from September 30th. Ferdinands, a specialist in sports biomechanics, brings vast experience in player performance and injury prevention.
SLC stated that both appointments are part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the technical and tactical development of the national side.
