Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus and Coco Gauff of the USA have qualified for the women’s singles final of the French Open 2025, following their victories in the semifinals held yesterday.
Sabalenka faced a tough challenge against Poland’s Iga Swiatek, the top seed and tournament favorite. The match turned out to be a three-set thriller.
Sabalenka clinched the first set 7–6 in a tightly contested tiebreak. Swiatek bounced back in the second set, winning it 6–4 and forcing a decider. However, the third set saw a dominant Sabalenka cruise to victory 6–0, securing her spot in the Roland Garros final.
With this performance, Sabalenka will now face Coco Gauff, who won her semifinal earlier in the day, in what promises to be an electrifying clash for the French Open Women’s Singles Championship.
