In an electrifying encounter at Mirpur, the West Indies pulled off a dramatic victory over Bangladesh in the second ODI, clinching the game in a tense Super Over after both teams finished level on 213 runs.

On a sluggish Mirpur track, Bangladesh opted to bat first and posted a modest 213 for 7, with Soumya Sarkar scoring a composed 45 and Rishad Hossain adding a valuable 39. Spinner Gudakesh Motie was the pick of the Windies’ bowlers, claiming three wickets.

Chasing 214, the West Indies innings mirrored Bangladesh’s effort — losing wickets at regular intervals but staying in the hunt through skipper Shai Hope’s unbeaten 53. Rishad Hossain again starred with the ball, taking 3 crucial wickets to keep the hosts alive.

With the scores tied, the game rolled into a nail-biting Super Over. Batting first, the Windies managed 10 runs — just enough to apply pressure. Bangladesh, needing 11 for victory, fell short by a whisker, finishing on 9 runs.

That narrow margin gave the Caribbean side a heart-stopping win and leveled the three-match series 1–1. Fittingly, captain Shai Hope was named Player of the Match for his calm and classy performance under pressure.
