India Crowned U19 World Champions After 100-Run Final Triumph Over England

The Under-19 Cricket World Cup Final between India and England was played today in Harare, with India sealing a dominant 100-run victory to lift the 2026 U19 World Cup title.

Batting first, India piled up a massive 411/9 at the end of their 50 overs. In reply, England managed 311 runs, falling well short of the target.

India’s Batting Hero

Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a sensational innings, smashing 175 runs off just 80 balls, setting the tone for India’s huge total.

Captain Ayush Mhatre added a valuable 52 runs.

For England, James Minto picked up 3 wickets, while Sebastian Morgan and Alex Green claimed 2 wickets each.

England’s Fightback

England showed resistance with Caleb Falconer scoring 115 off 67 balls and Ben Dawkins contributing 66, but the target proved too steep.

India’s Bowling Effort

India’s bowling attack ensured there was no late twist:

  • R.S. Ambrish – 3 wickets
  • Dipesh Devendran – 2 wickets
  • Kanishk Chauhan – 2 wickets

Historic Achievement

With this victory, India became Under-19 World Champions for the sixth time, reinforcing their dominance in youth cricket.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament, capping off a dream campaign with a match-winning knock.
