Batting first after winning the toss, England struggled but managed 128/9 in 20 overs.
Sam Curran led the fight with a crucial 58 runs, while Jos Buttler scored 25 and Liam Dawson added 14. No other batter crossed double figures.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers were outstanding, with Dushmantha Chameera producing a brilliant spell of 5 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs. Matheesha Pathirana supported well with 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 129, Sri Lanka got off to a shaky start. Kamil Mishara was dismissed for a duck, while Pathum Nissanka scored 23 and Kusal Mendis made 26.
However, the middle and lower order failed to build partnerships, and Sri Lanka were bowled out for 116 runs in 19.3 overs.
England’s bowlers turned the game around, with Jacob Bethell taking 4 wickets and Will Jacks claiming 3 wickets.
With this victory, England completed a commanding 3–0 T20 series whitewash over Sri Lanka.
