India secured a convincing 7-wicket win in the third T20 International against touring South Africa, in the five-match T20I series being played between the two sides.
Batting first, South Africa struggled with the bat and were bowled out for just 117 runs at the end of 20 overs. Skipper Aiden Markram was the lone bright spot for the visitors, scoring 61 runs off 46 balls.
India’s bowlers delivered a collective effort, with six bowlers sharing the wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each.
Chasing a modest target of 118, India reached the target comfortably in 15.5 overs, losing only three wickets. Abhishek Sharma provided a rapid start, smashing 35 runs off just 18 deliveries. The three Indian wickets were taken by Marco Jansen, Coetzee Bosch, and Lungi Ngidi.
With this victory, India moved ahead 2–1 in the five-match T20I series. Two matches remain, with the next encounter scheduled to be played on the 17th in Lucknow.
