Nepal created history yesterday by claiming their first-ever T20I series victory against a full ICC member nation, defeating the West Indies in the second match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal posted 173 for 6 in 20 overs.

Asif Sheikh anchored the innings with a superb unbeaten 68, while Sundeep Jora hammered 63 to put Nepal in command. For the West Indies, Akeal Hosein and Kyle Mayers picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 174, the West Indies were bundled out for just 83 in 17.1 overs. Jason Holder top-scored with 21, but the rest of the batting order collapsed under relentless pressure.

Mohammad Adil Alam was the star with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Kushal Bhurtel added 3 scalps to complete a crushing win.

With one match still to play, Nepal sealed the series, marking a landmark moment in the country’s cricketing journey.
