The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team left for India today to take part in the opening match of the Women’s ODI World Cup.
Sri Lanka will face India in the curtain-raiser on September 30 in Guwahati. The final of the tournament is scheduled for November 2.
During the group stage, Sri Lanka will play seven matches, with five of them set to take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
This year’s World Cup will be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and India, featuring the participation of eight teams.
