Rumesh Tharanga succeeded in winning the bronze medal at the Neeraj Chopra Classic Javelin Throw competition.
The tournament was held yesterday in India, attracting many of the world’s top javelin throwers.
Representing Sri Lanka, javelin champion Rumesh Tharanga delivered an impressive throw of 84.34 meters to secure the bronze medal.
India’s Neraj Chopra clinched the gold medal with a throw of 86.18 meters.
Kenya’s Julius Yego claimed the silver medal with a distance of 84.51 meters.
