Former Sri Lankan rugby player Dushanth Lewke has been appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lanka national rugby union team.
The appointment was officially announced by the Sri Lanka Rugby.
According to the announcement, the decision has been made with a focus on upcoming international commitments, including the tour of the New Zealand Under-85kg team scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka next month, as well as future international rugby tournaments.
Lewke recently served as the head coach of CR & FC during the latest domestic league season.
His appointment is expected to bring fresh leadership and experience to Sri Lanka’s national rugby setup as they prepare for upcoming international challenges.
