Former Australian cricketer James Darren Sids has been appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lanka women’s national cricket team.
According to a statement released by Sri Lanka Cricket, Sids previously served as the head coach of the Bangladesh women’s national cricket team from 2007 to 2011.
The announcement further stated that his contract will be effective for one year starting from March 16, 2026.
Sids’ first assignment as Sri Lanka Women’s head coach will be the upcoming series against Bangladesh scheduled to take place in April.
