Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to appoint former Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour as the batting consultant of the Sri Lanka national team.
His services have been obtained on a consultancy basis with a focus on preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
Vikram Rathour has represented India in Test and One Day International cricket, and his tenure with Sri Lanka Cricket will run from January 18, 2026, to March 10, 2026.
He previously served as India’s batting coach across all three formats from September 2019 to July 2024, gaining wide recognition for his work with the Indian batting unit.
In addition, Rathour is currently working as an assistant coach of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sri Lanka Cricket hopes Rathour’s experience and expertise will play a key role in strengthening the team’s batting performance on the global stage.
