Crucial Clash in the Champions Trophy Group Stage

The Champions Trophy match between England and Afghanistan is taking place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Afghanistan posted a formidable total of 325 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Star batsman Ibrahim Zadran delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 177 runs off 146 balls—making it the highest individual score ever recorded by an Afghan batsman.

Additionally, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Mohammad Nabi contributed 40 runs each, while Azmatullah Omarzai added 41 runs to the total.

This match is crucial for both teams, as the losing side will be eliminated from the tournament. England needs 326 runs to secure victory.
