Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after sustaining an injury.

According to international media reports, the decision was taken as Naveen is scheduled to undergo surgery, making him unavailable for the tournament.

As of now, Afghanistan Cricket Board has not named a replacement player for the injured pacer.

Naveen-ul-Haq last featured in a T20 International match in 2024, and his absence is expected to be a significant blow to Afghanistan’s pace attack ahead of the global event.
