The Pakistan national cricket team have been fined by the Pakistan Cricket Board following their failure to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.
According to overseas reports, the team has been handed a fine of PKR 5 million — approximately USD 18,000.
Pakistan were knocked out during the Super 8 stage of the tournament, missing out on a place in the last four.
This also marks the fourth consecutive occasion that Pakistan have failed to reach the semi-finals of a major ICC men’s tournament — a disappointing run for the former world champions.
