Sri Lanka National Cricket Team will depart the island today for their upcoming tour of the West Indies, with the series set to begin on the 3rd of next month.
The tour will feature three One Day Internationals, three T20 Internationals, and two Test matches between Sri Lanka and the West Indies.
Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday announced the squad for the series, confirming major leadership changes in the white-ball formats.
Kusal Mendis has been appointed captain of both the ODI and T20I teams, replacing former ODI skipper Charith Asalanka and former T20 captain Dasun Shanaka, who both remain part of the squad as players.
Kamindu Mendis has been named vice-captain for the white-ball formats and will also serve as deputy to Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva in the red-ball squad.
The tour will officially begin with the first ODI in Kingston on the 3rd.
