The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team departed the country this morning to take part in the cricket series against the Indian women’s team.
The Sri Lanka–India women’s cricket series is scheduled to begin on the 21st, and it will consist of five Twenty20 (T20I) matches.
Prior to their departure, the Sri Lankan players took part in religious observances and also posed for an official team photograph, seeking blessings for a successful tour.
The touring squad consists of 15 players.
Chamari Athapaththu will lead the side as captain, while Harshitha Samarawickrama has been named the vice-captain.
Sri Lanka will be hoping for a strong performance as they prepare to face a tough Indian challenge in the upcoming series.
