Afghanistan registered a memorable 18-run win over Pakistan in the Tri-Nation T20 Series featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates. The match was played yesterday, where Afghanistan outplayed their rivals with both bat and ball.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Afghanistan posted a solid total of 169 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Ibrahim Zadran led the charge with a classy 65, while Sediqullah Atal smashed 64, building a strong platform for their side. For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 2 wickets.

In reply, Pakistan faltered under pressure, finishing on 151 for 9 at the end of their 20 overs. Surprisingly, their highest scorer was pacer Haris Rauf, who struck a fighting 34 runs, while the top order struggled against disciplined bowling.

Afghanistan’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Fazalhaq Farooqi, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, and Noor Ahmad, all of whom took 2 wickets each, ensuring Pakistan never found momentum.

With this result, both Afghanistan and Pakistan now have two wins each in the tri-series, keeping the competition wide open. Ibrahim Zadran was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.
